Valdis Ģībietis has acquired Medical Degree and qualification in internal medicine in Riga Stradiņš University. He is now a PhD student. He is also a tutor in RSU Department of Internal Diseases in the course of Cardiology. His professional and scientific interests include amyloidosis, venous thromboembolism and multidisciplinary approach to internal diseases. Valdis has published scientific papers in peer-reviewed medical journals regarding the topic of pulmonary embolism and participated in various international medical conferences.
He was the project manager of RSU International Student Conference 2016 and the co-chair of the scientific committee of RSU Research Week 2021 and International COVID-19 Conference 2022.
