Vaidotas Urbonas

Vaidotas Urbonas, PhD, professor in Vilnius University Medical Faculty and Children’s Hospital, is a pediatrician from Vilnius, Lithuania. His main fields of clinical and scientific interest are gastrointestinal diseases and nutrition in children. He has defended PhD thesis on “Complex diagnostic of coeliac disease”. He has been participating in numerous scientific projects on ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, and gastroesophageal reflux among others.
Professor Urbonas will talk about bile acid synthesis disorders and novel therapies to manage them with particular focus on Orphacol, an innovative cholic acid preparation.
